VRV Country Club Rules and Regulations

1. PLAYER CONDUCT
a. Players at the Voyager Resort Country Club will be expected to conduct themselves in a proper and respectful manner at all times. Examples of unacceptable behavior would be, but are not limited to:
1. Use of profanity
2. Threat or use of physical force against anyone
3. Vandalism
2. SPORTSMANSHIP
a. Slow play - Pick up after 6 strokes
b. Play ready-golf
c. Finish scoring at the beginning of next hole
d. Try to stay up with the group ahead
3. DRESS CODE
a. Proper golf attire should be worn at all times
1. Shoes and shirts required when on the course or in the Pro Shop
2. No swimsuits or tank tops allowed
3. No metal spikes on golf shoes
4. No profanity or offensive graphics on wearing apparel
4. SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR THE HANDICAPPED
a. Use of motorized golfcars will be allowed free of charge for those with handicap stickers (may be obtained from Voyager Security).
b. Temporary-handicap golfcar use will require a temporary card obtained from Voyager Security and will be at no charge to the player.
5. HOURS OF OPERATION
Pro shop will be open from 8am to 5 pm daily from the opening after re-seeding until May.  After that hours will be flexible to meet the needs of the golfers.. Golfing is permitted 7 am (pending frost issues) until dusk and by making payment using the honor box outside the Pro Shop.
6. TEE TIME ALLOCATIONS
Tee times will be enforced when Pro Shop Manager deems necessary to ease overcrowding on the 1st tee.
7. MEMBER REQUESTS
Place any requests or suggestions in the suggestion box at the Pro Shop.
8. OTHER
a. No pets allowed in Pro Shop or on golf course property.
b. Any player under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the course and at the driving nets and must pay greens fee. No children are allowed on the course under any other condition.
c. No person(s) shall use the course for walking or jogging exercise.
d. No practice putting or chipping on course while waiting for course play. No practice play on course (i.e. player hitting and/or playing 2 or more balls).
e. All tee offs will be made from #1 tee or, by permission from pro shop, #4 tee (except for shotgun starts).
f. Unlimited play: each golfer should check in with Pro Shop after each 9 holes.
g. Range balls will only be used at range nets and never as play on the course or practice green.
h. During peak season or other busy times, foursomes may be required.
i. All bikes must be parked in the bike racks in parking lot across the street from Pro Shop.
j. Anyone playing in an organized event will be required to play a Participation Fee of $2.00.  This will include, but not be limited to any event that closes the course to play for other than this event.

VOYAGER GOLF COURSE TOURNAMENT RULES
1. During tournament play, there are no "gimmes" and all strokes are counted until ball is in cup.
2. Over the water on #2 hole:
A. If your first ball goes into the water, drop in ‘drop area’ with 1 stroke penalty.
B. If you hit over the water, ball lands on turf but rolls back into the water, drop in ‘drop area’ with 1 stroke penalty.
C. If ball flies the water, rolls back but does not go into the water, stops on the edge and is playable, drop in ‘drop area’ with NO penalty.
3. Out of bounds on #4, #6, #7 , #8 and #9:
A. If ball is hit over the fence, you must hit again from the tee until ball is in play.
1 stroke penalty incurred with each additional hit.
B. If ball hit from #9 tee travels beyond the white stakes (near practice green) Rule
3A will apply. If ball is not visible and MAY be out of bounds, a provisional ball
must be played from tee. If first ball is out of bounds, the provisional ball will be used for continued play on that hole with a 1 stroke penalty.
C. If ball from any tee is hit into the water, you may go to the spot where ball entered the water and, incurring a 1 stroke penalty, drop ball and play from there.
D. If ball is long on #6 hole and travels beyond white stakes, it is deemed to be out of bounds and must be replayed from tee with 1 stroke penalty. If ball is not visible and player is unsure of it’s location, Rule 3B (hitting a provisional) will apply.
4. Bank on #4, #7, #8 and #9:
A. If ball comes to rest on embankment and is playable as it lies, you must drop ball onto fairway, no closer to the hole and incurring no penalty. If the ball is unplayable, drop onto fairway no closer to the hole and incur a 1 stroke penalty.
B. Wash in front of #1 and #9, lay BACK out of wash with no penalty.
5. Plugged Balls:
A. Plugged balls may be lifted, cleaned and placed within card distance no closer to hole.
6. Manmade obstructions:
A. These would include fences, bridges, benches, sprinkler heads, protective screens:
Drop at nearest point of relief no closer to the pin. No penalty.
B. Casual water and ground under repair (marked). Ball can be dropped at nearest point of relief no closer to the pin. No penalty.
